1. Introduction

Welcome to Harkitek (“we,” “our,” or “us”). Harkitek provides outsourced digital infrastructure, website management, and automated administrative services specifically designed for tradespeople. By engaging our services, you (“the Client”) agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

2. The Core Agreement: “You do the trade, we handle the tech”

Harkitek agrees to build, manage, and maintain the digital infrastructure (the “Engine”) required to generate leads, schedule jobs, and process invoices. The Client agrees to provide the professional trade services to their end-customers. Harkitek is strictly a technology and administrative partner and is not liable for the quality, safety, or outcome of the physical trade work performed by the Client.

3. Services Provided

Depending on your chosen subscription tier, Harkitek provides a combination of the following:

  • Digital Shopfront: Hosting, building, and maintaining a lead-generating WordPress website.
  • Instant Alerts: Routing customer inquiries directly to the Client via SMS or WhatsApp.
  • Admin Hub: Setting up and managing a third-party CRM system (e.g., Jobber, ServiceTitan) running on secure cloud servers.
  • Automations: Configuring automated invoicing, payment chasing, and Google Review requests.

Harkitek utilizes industry-standard third-party software to deliver these services. We are responsible for the integration and management of these tools, ensuring a seamless experience for the Client.

4. Fees and Monthly Retainers

Harkitek operates on a flat-rate monthly retainer model. We do not charge by the hour.

  • Payments are due monthly in advance.
  • The 30-day “Proof of Concept” trial is provided free of labor charges; however, the Client is responsible for any direct third-party software or hosting costs (typically £30-£50) incurred during this period.
  • Failure to pay the monthly retainer may result in the suspension of the digital shopfront, CRM access, and automations until the balance is cleared.

5. Data Privacy and Security

We take data security seriously. Harkitek does not build systems that store sensitive client data locally on mobile devices. All data is managed through secure, centralized cloud CRM providers.

The Client retains full ownership of their customer data (leads, contact information, job histories). Harkitek acts solely as a data processor. We will never sell, share, or leverage your customer list for any other purpose.

6. Termination of Services

We do not lock tradespeople into complex, multi-year contracts. You may cancel your monthly retainer at any time with a 30-day written notice.

Upon termination, Harkitek will transfer ownership of your customer data and CRM instances directly to you. Digital shopfronts (websites) built entirely by Harkitek remain the intellectual property of Harkitek unless a buyout fee is agreed upon, though we will happily provide an export of your data.

7. Limitation of Liability

While we strive for 100% uptime, Harkitek is not liable for temporary service interruptions caused by third-party software outages (e.g., WhatsApp, Jobber, hosting providers going offline). We are also not liable for any lost revenue, missed leads, or disputes between the Client and their end-customers.
